Article 1 – Definitions and General Concepts

Article 2 – Eligibility to Rent a Car

You must provide all necessary documents and information for the lease, including identity, passport, address (home and email), fixed and mobile phone numbers, driver’s license details (issue/expiry date, place of issue), and payment method. Drivers must hold a valid license for at least 12 months for the vehicle category and be over 21 (higher for some categories). A ‘Young Renter Fee’ of approximately 200.00 MAD per day may apply for renters aged 18–20. A prepayment covering the estimated hire bill plus a deposit is required at the start of the hire.

Article 3 – The Vehicle

3.1 – State of the Vehicle

A vehicle condition document is attached to your contract. You must note any apparent damage not listed before leaving the station; otherwise, the vehicle is deemed delivered as described. Claims for unreported apparent damage are not accepted. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition received, with reconditioning costs due to renter misconduct added to the hire cost.

3.2 – Use of Vehicle

The vehicle may not be driven outside Morocco without CroisiereCar’s written authorization. You are responsible for offences committed during the hire, and your details may be shared with police upon request. Use the vehicle prudently, not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances, per the Traffic Code and its intended use (e.g., passenger transport without charge). Prohibited uses include:

Pets are allowed, but cleaning/detailing fees may apply. Goods and baggage must not damage the vehicle or pose risks. Lock the vehicle and use anti-theft devices when parked. Never leave the vehicle unattended with keys in the ignition. In case of damage or theft, submit an accident/theft report, keys, and documents to CroisiereCar promptly.

3.3 – Maintenance / Mechanical Problems

Perform customary inspections (e.g., oil level after 1,000 km, tire pressure) per reasonable use. Monitor dashboard warning lights and take protective actions (e.g., emergency stop). The vehicle has five compliant tires; replace damaged tires (except normal wear, defects, or force majeure) at your expense with identical tires. Mechanical failures (excluding accidents) are covered by service assistance included in the rental price (see Article 6). CroisiereCar does not guarantee specific models or colors but ensures the chosen or higher category.

Article 4 – Length of Stay

4.1 – Definition of Calculation

Return the vehicle by the contract-specified date, or face civil/criminal proceedings. Hire duration is calculated in 24-hour periods from vehicle availability, with a 29-minute tolerance before a new 24-hour period applies. To extend the rental, visit a CroisiereCar office to amend the agreement and pay for the extension.

4.2 – End of the Hire

Hire ends upon returning the vehicle, keys, and documents to a CroisiereCar agent at the counter. Do not give keys to unauthorized persons in parking areas. Returning without keys incurs replacement and vehicle relocation costs (5 MAD/km to the nearest station). CroisiereCar is not liable for property left in the vehicle. The contract ends only when possession is transferred to an agent during opening hours, except in cases of confiscation, theft, or accidents, as specified.

Article 5 – Payment

5.1 – The Price

Pay the estimated hire and service costs in advance, including hire fees, optional fees, and supplementary insurance/waivers. Excess charges or damages/theft costs may be charged to the same account. For hires over 30 days, an invoice is issued and payable immediately. Late payments incur interest at the legal rate plus 0.1% daily penalty. Non-payment may lead to immediate bill maturity and vehicle return demands.

5.2 – Applicable Prices

Prices are those in force at contract signing, based on provided information. Changes (e.g., duration, return station) may alter prices per the brochure. Gasoline is not included; return the vehicle with the same fuel level, or pay 10 MAD/liter plus a 200 MAD refueling fee. Additional charges include:

Special equipment (excl. tax):

5.3 – Deposit for Guarantee

A deposit is preauthorized on the driver’s credit card, refunded within 14 days if no charges arise. Deposit amounts by car group:

Debit Card, Diners Club, and American Express are not accepted. Failure to provide a valid card may cancel the booking without refund.

5.4 – Early Returns/Unused Rental Days

No refunds for early returns, unused days, or ancillary items.

5.5 – Non-Refundable Cases

No refunds if:

5.6 – Cancellation Policy

Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice incur an 800 MAD fee. No refunds for cancellations after the reserved pickup time/date.

Article 6 – Conditions of Insurance and Assistance

6.1 – Liability Insurance

Vehicles are covered by Third Party Legal Responsibility insurance per Moroccan law and include technical assistance from CroisiereCar stations or partners. Optional “Driver and Passengers” insurance (PAI) is available for a daily fee. Conditions are detailed in the ‘Rental Guide, Conditions of Insurance and Useful Advice’ brochure.

Article 7 – Late Arrival Policy

Reservations are held for 2 hours past the pickup time unless you notify us of a change. After 2 hours, the vehicle may be reassigned, and availability is not guaranteed. For flight delays, the location remains open if the correct flight number is provided and the carrier notifies the new arrival time. An out-of-hours fee applies after regular hours:

Monday–Sunday: 07:00–22:00

WARNING: In case of an accident, a 500 MAD flat rate is charged for towing, research, and vehicle replacement.
